But for how long? That is the question of Els Houttave the founder of “Environment Without Boundaries”. Due to the tourists are discovering this piece of paradise
on earth but it also brings along the consumer based society. As a consequence: prices are soaring, streets are getting crowded with motorised traffic and the waste mountain is growing.

“Environment Without Boundaries” is a non-profit organization working for the benefit of the boundless environment and the poor people in Lombok through guidance on waste management and birth control.
The objective is to lower the ecological footprint and at the same time increase the quality of life. This means above all to create awareness among the adults and the children of the fact that the increased CO2 emission by burning waste and the increase of exhaust gases (mopeds, electricity generators, coal power plants) can be polluting.
That dumping of waste can endanger their life, that of their children and their stray farm animals.

To integrate Hairdressers Without Borders more in the philosophy of Els, we will make a step forward together.
Create an awareness of environment friendly work, water waste, create natural products, using solar electricity and Els will organise a workshop how to make a scissor holder out of car/motorbike tires.

This is just the beginning of a beautiful sharing.
