INDIA – JODHPUR – 2025

Returning to Jodhpur for the second time with the LGBTQ community from Sambhali Trust was more than just another training session—it was a homecoming. This time, we witnessed something truly special: a pure, unfiltered eagerness to learn, a hunger for knowledge, and the motivation to build a future full of possibilities.

From the moment we stepped into the training space, the energy was palpable. With our dedicated group of volunteers, we introduced a variety of techniques—layer cuts on mannequin heads, hairstyling, elegant updos, and even some exciting color techniques. But what made this experience truly unforgettable wasn’t just the skills being taught; it was the way our students embraced every lesson with unwavering focus and passion.

Each pair of hands that held a comb, a pair of scissors, or a brush was driven by dreams—dreams of becoming professional hairdressers, of finding independence, of shaping their own destinies. Watching them absorb every detail, every technique, and then practice with such determination was nothing short of inspiring.

One of the most touching moments was seeing the transformation—not just in skill, but in confidence. The way they stood taller, their eyes shining with possibility, reminded us why we do what we do. This wasn’t just about hairdressing. It was about empowerment, self-expression, and building a future where they can thrive.

As we reflect on this journey, our hearts are full. We leave Jodhpur not just having shared our knowledge, but having learned so much in return. The strength, resilience, and passion of this community continue to inspire us, and we can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the skills—they are becoming the best versions of themselves, and that is the most beautiful transformation of all.
