Hairdressers Without Borders biggest mission is to share our professional knowledge to people in need.
But to achieve this goal as a nonprofit organization we have to bring more creative and supportive hands together.
Thats where the ideas started together with our main sponsor Davines Netherlands. We have set up ‘Hairdressers for Nepal’ event to unite passionate hairdressers from the Netherlands to share their passion for their profession and share compassion for humanity.
This goal has certainly been achieved and we are so extremely happy with the amazing result of the ‘Hairdressers for Nepal’ event where the proceeds are EUR 14,218 🙂 🙂 🙂

We received so many warm hearted supports from all hair salons around the Netherlands. Some salons have opened their doors to work a few hours or a day for charity, others have saved their tip jar money for a whole week, or by selling the beautiful hair masks ‘the Circle Chronicles’ of Davines.
We are so grateful for all these beautiful personal activities to raise as much money as possible and with this we can give an opportunity for new future plans for underprivileged women in Nepal, through a professional hairdressing training.

In the beginning of October, the HWB team will travel to Nepal together with a group of volunteers to give an inspiring hairdressing training in collaboration with Blink Now the beautiful organization of CNN Hero of the year winner Maggie Doyne, a young American woman who has built a children’s home, women’s center and school. Blink Now team will logistically support and guidance HWB to start a new program in Surkhet – Nepal where we will give to 20 interested students the opportunity to change their lives with the right education and energy.

On 14 May, Peter and Esther of HWB will have a personal interview with all registered volunteers at the head office of Davines in Deventer to find the right person to participate in this life-changing project.
